On the 20th and 21st of January 2024, a special campaign program for voter registration is being conducted across the district, as informed by District Collector Harichandana. In a video conference held on Friday, district election officials, along with State Chief Election Officer Vikas Raj and other election authorities, discussed voter registration, parliamentary election preparations, and other related matters.
District Collector Harichandan, addressing the media, stated that a special campaign has been planned for two days starting from the 20th of this month for individuals aged 18 and above who have been eligible to vote for the past 18 years but are not yet registered. The campaign will focus on registering their names in the voter list and addressing any other issues related to electoral rolls.
As part of the campaign, polling officials at the booth level will be available at designated polling centers from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM for the next two days to assist with voter registration. Additionally, voters can change their polling stations from one center to another, and queries regarding electoral matters in other constituencies will be accepted.
District Collector Harichandan urged the youth who have completed 18 years to take advantage of this opportunity and actively participate in the voter registration process. In a video conference, J. Srinivas, District Collector (Revenue), AR Devolu Ravi, Shreeramulu, Damodar, and other officials were present and discussed the details of the campaign.
