Why Textbooks Are Still a Dream for Many IAS Aspirants
At a time when basic sanitation facility is considered a luxury in rural areas, Narayanpet district authorities have built 15 cost-effective public toilets.
The construction cost of each washroom is just Rs 10,000, officials said.
βThe washrooms were built near public institutions, like hospitals, bus stops and municipal office building,β said district collector HariChandana.
The construction work of each toilet takes 24 hours and installation takes one more day. Cylindrical cement blocks, toilet seat, tap, pipeline and a door was used to build these washrooms.
